Our Mission

There is a social mission attached to everything we do at Grand-Mère. We support women entrepreneurs, small businesses, and black owned businesses. We value the role women play in their communities, and endeavor to uphold those values in our organization. In addition, we support women farmers and entrepreneurs in the coffee industry, so they can leave their footprint in a otherwise male dominated enterprise. That is why we support companies like Kahawa 1893, who support and empower women coffee producers. We also invite you to join us in supporting the education non-profit The Cush Center for Learning, Inc., as a portion of our sales, will help fund the Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (S.T.E.A.M) initiatives in that non-profit. Overall, we want you to know that each purchase you make goes towards a good cause, as we strive to always bring our efforts full circle. Also as a charity café, we will donate our end-of-day pastries to organizations, schools and fellow non-profits in need, as at Grand-Mère nothing goes to waste. So join us on our mission, as there’s always room for helping hands!
